The Identification of Reproductive Pheromones used by the Round Goby in Michigan Waters Where the Survival of Indigenous Fishes is Threatened

The study will identify reproductive pheromones used by the round goby and use these to challenge the breeding success in habitats where this invader occurs in the spawning ground of native fish. The results of this study have the potential to lead to control of round goby populations in habitats where native fish are threatened by predation and competition by this species.
