Mechanisms of Action of PCBs on Neurological Development of Great Lakes Amphibians

The project will study effects of PCBs on the development of the North American bullfrog, including analysis of effects of PCBs on the activity of the endocrine system and on neurological development. This will contribute to efforts currently under way by state and regional monitoring programs to determine the status of Great Lakes amphibian populations and potential impacts of pollutants on their health and viability, including humans.
