Effects of Changing Light Levels on Alewife-Mysid Interactions in Lake Ontario

This project will investigate the effect of light on the interaction  between alewife and Mysis relicta through physiological measurements,  laboratory experiments, and field observations. The expected outcome  is a better understanding of alewife production in a changing Lake  Ontario ecosystem providing managers with information about prey  abundance to complement estimates of predatory demand.
