Phosphorus and nitrogen monitoring and modeling in the Cattaraugus CreekWatershed, a major tributary to Lake Erie

This project satisfies the objectives of Category B priority of the  NYGLPF which calls for monitoring of pollutant loading for use in  lake-wide modeling. The monitoring and modeling efforts will further  the goals of the Cattaraugus Creek Watershed Project, a grassroots  organization composed of government officials, academics, and  non-profit entities. The model developed from this project also will  provide a desired tool for regional and national entities such as the  EPA that make decisions regarding nutrient and eutrophication management.    (eutrophication); (algal bloom); (algal blooms); (nutrient loading);  (phosphorous); (phosphorous loading); (nitrogen); (nitrogen loading)
