Maternal-infant research on environmental chemicals (MIREC) study

This project is a national biomonitoring study to measure the   exposure of methods and infants to environmental chemicals and to   assess the health risks (if any) associated with such exposure.    Contaminants measured includes lead, mercury, arsenic, brominated   flame retardants, phthalates, bisphenol A, perfluroinated compounds,   PCBs, and organophosphate pesticides.     Total funding for this project is approximately $3.9 million.    (chemicals of emerging concern); (chemical of emerging concern);   (chemicals of concern); (chemical of concern); (flame retardant);   (flame retardants); (PBDE's); (PBDEs); (PBDE); (polybrominated   diphenyl ethers); (polybrominated diphenyl ether); (PBB's); (PBBs);   (PBB); (polybrominated biphenyls); (polybrominated biphenyl);   (TBBPA's); (TBBPAs); (TBBPA); (tetrabromobisphenol A); (lead); (Pb);   (mercury); (Hg); (As); (arsenic); (plasticizer); (plasticizers);   (phthalate); (phthalates); (bisphenol A); (perfluroinated   compounds); (perfluroinated compound); (PFC's); (PFCs); (PFC);   (polychlorinated biphenyls); (polychlorinated biphenyl); (PCB's);   (PCBs); (PCB); (pesticide); (pesticides); (organophosphate   pesticide); (organophosphate pesticides); (human health); (toxic   metal); (toxic metals); (toxic organic); (toxic organics)
