Restoring Fish Passage in the River Raisin Area of Concern

Michigan Department of Environmental Quality and project partners will implement the second phase of a two part plan to open up Lake Erie to the lower 23 miles of the River Raisin for the first time in over 70 years. This project will reconnect an additional 9.5 miles of river by addressing impediments at four dams. This project will improve fish passage, while advancing the delisting of the fish and wildlife related Beneficial Use Impairments in the River Raisin Area of Concern.
